Selected collections

As an artist I would like to show you the origins of my ideas and the bigger picture that is unfolding in my mind as a concept for a collection. I hope you enjoy looking through this small gallery!

Bosch

Creature-like plants, feral beasts and animals, inhabiting boschian world.

When I was a kid, I had childrens' encyclopedia of arts with large colorful prints of Bosch's triptych. I was mesmerised by the sence of mystery, delighted by discovering new detailes, the many sub-plots, vibrant colors. Can we have some of that in real life?!

These vibrant elements that tickled my imagination became a theme for a collection. Some pieces are covered in gold for a richer color and surfase protection.

Henri Rousseau

Fruitful branshes of tropical trees and fans of leaves spreading all around.

Creative journey of Le Douanier (the customs officer) is no less touching than his charming naive art. Son of a plummer, he's been to army, worked in customs, fathered 6 kids and started painting exotic jungle midlife. He's never been to the jungle, had no artistic education, but scincerely believed in his realistic painting skills and dreaded the dangerous predators who came to life on his paintings.

I had fun interpreting this bold colorful exotic world into real life wearable objects. The naive imperfect geometric botanicals and the festive feel were my giudlines.

Prehistoric equisetidae

Giant swamp grass of the dinosaur times with a japanese aesthetic.

My impression of japanese graphic art was always enhanced by the strict boundaries of the form it had to fill in. Like those kimono patterns - the endless variety of the same thing through centuries. I wanted to study a stick in the similar manner and created a series of large brooches all having the same core.
